Sammie didn’t seem keen in doing shifts that involved putting my dad down to bed, when asked if she would in the future she replied ‘ye’ The following time, When I text her asking to cover a few hours, she never responded. I would prefer that carers are honest about what they can/can’t do and if they can’t/don’t want to provide care then be upfront. We need carers on call that actually want to do it.
