Hi, my name is Sarah. I’m a 21-year-old second year student living in Limerick with a lot of experience in babysitting and childminding. I have been minding children since I was 13, starting with my younger siblings and cousins, and over the years I’ve babysat for more than 15 different families. During Transition Year and throughout Covid, I worked regularly with a family of five children, all under the age of seven at the time. I worked up to 40 hours a week helping organise meals, planning games and activities, scheduling nap times, and keeping the children entertained and happy throughout the day. This gave me great experience managing busy households and caring for multiple children at once. I have experience with children of all ages, from newborns to early teens. Through my babysitting roles I have also helped children with their homework and now offer grinds to some of the older children I mind who may need additional support with schoolwork. I’m quick on my feet, creative, and enjoy finding different ways to explain things so children can understand and feel confident. Alongside babysitting, I currently work part-time as a Healthcare Assistant in a nursing home. Through this role I’ve developed strong caring skills, patience, and a love for meeting new people and helping others feel comfortable and supported. I genuinely love working with children and creating a fun, safe, and positive environment for them. I enjoy playing games, doing creative activities, and using imagination to keep kids engaged in ways that don’t always rely on screens. I’m friendly, reliable, and adaptable to different families and routines, and my goal is always to make children feel happy and cared for while giving parents peace of mind.
