Hi I’m Maeve! I’m a fun, friendly and responsible childminder and dietitian, passionate about caring for children. I have extensive experience with childcare. I began babysitting for families in my area when I was 13. Since then I have babysat for 20+ families, minding children of all ages from 8 months-16 years. This includes evening babysitting, childcare for full days, afterschool care, and overnight stays. Some of my experience includes last Summer when I minded a baby boy full time for 2 months. I also minded two little boys (1 and 3) full time for 6 weeks over Christmas. During my time in college I provided afterschool care to 2 children (5 and 7) which involved pick ups and homework, etc. I recently completed my dietetics degree from Trinity College/TUD. I have a particular interest in paediatric dietetics and have completed placement settings in children’s hospital wards and primary care settings across the country, including a 14 week placement in Crumlin Children’s Hospital. As part of my course I have knowledge regarding children’s health including allergies, weaning, growth, development, and medical issues and am certified in baby and general first aid (I also completed a year long lifesaving course aside from college). I am looking for a childminding job during the Summer. I am available full time from mid May-July before I start studying graduate- entry medicine in August. I particularly love minding babies and toddlers but enjoy minding children of all ages. I have experience childminding in my home as well as the children’s home and am open to both options.
