I have been working for an after-school robotics programme for the past year, working with children aged 4 to 12. This has given me a great deal of experience in teaching and caring for children. I facilitated a week-long robotics summer camp last year, taking care of a group of eight children aged 9 to 12. I led outdoor activities, taught them how to build and programme robots, and much more. I also have an 11-year-old niece and a 2-year-old nephew, for whom I was the primary caregiver for six weeks during their summer holidays in South Africa the past two years. I love working with children and being around them. This past year has been one of the best, as I’ve had the opportunity to inspire and spend time with incredible children every day. They have taught me so much about life, and I can only hope that I had even a fraction of the impact on them that they had on me.
