My name is Ainhoa, I’m 21 years old, I am from Valencia (Spain) and next year is my final year of a Primary Education degree. I’m writing to express my enthusiasm about becoming an Au Pair in Ireland, a country that stole my heart from the moment I visited my sister who lives there (in Dublin). Since I was very young, I’ve known I wanted to work with children. That passion has only grown stronger during my university studies and through hands-on experience. I've worked in nurseries and completed teaching internships in various Spanish schools, where I’ve had the chance to guide, teach, and learn from amazing children of all ages. These experiences have taught me not only patience and creativity, but also how to adapt to each child’s unique needs and rhythms.’m currently studying the specialization in Speech and Language Therapy (Audición y Lenguaje) as part of my degree, and I’ve also completed several courses in Special Education, particularly focused on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). These studies have given me a deeper understanding of how to communicate effectively with all children, especially those who may need extra support, and have strengthened my ability to adapt activities to different learning styles and needs. I consider myself a calm, caring, and responsible person. I don't smoke, I don’t party, and I enjoy a peaceful, balanced lifestyle. I’ve always been quite independent. Living on my own during my Erasmus year in Greece ([removed]), and on my first years of university, really helped me grow personally and culturally. That year abroad also fueled my love for travel and discovering new places, which is something I’d love to share with your family! In my free time, I enjoy simple things that make me feel connected: running, hiking in the mountains, spending days at the beach, or having a picnic surrounded by nature. These activities recharge me and are often moments I’d love to enjoy with children, encouraging them to explore and be active. Another thing I truly enjoy is doing arts and crafts. I love creating things with my hands. Whether it’s painting, making decorations, or simple DIY projects. I find it a relaxing and fun way to express creativity, and it’s also a great activity to share with children. It helps them develop fine motor skills, express their emotions, and, most importantly, have fun while learning. Being an Au Pair is, for me, not just about childcare, it’s about becoming part of a family, learning from a different culture, and contributing with care, creativity, and support. Ireland holds a special place in my heart, not only because my sister lives there, but also because of the warmth I felt during my visit and the beauty of its landscapes. While Dublin feels like a second home already, I would also love the opportunity to get to know other parts of the country.
