As an Irish mum of 3 teenagers, I have given up my corporate life to become a healthcare assistant for the elderly after having to mind my father who had dementia. I have qualified with my QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support and done over 220 hrs in The Maryfield Nursing home in Chapelizod. I just love caring for the elderly like I did with my own father. I want to give the elderly the love and support their families may not be able to give them, due to their own commitments.
