My name is Amalia Gonzalez, I am 29 years old, from Colombia. I am single, I don’t have children, and I recently moved to Ireland to study English. My current level of English is basic, but I am committed and working hard every day to improve it. I hold a degree in Social Work, a profession that has helped me develop strong empathy, social awareness, and a deep commitment to the well-being of others. In addition to my professional background, I also have very personal experience caring for the elderly: I took care of my father for 15 years, as he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. I was fully responsible for his daily care: I bathed him, changed his diapers, fed him, and we did physical exercises and memory activities together. I also supported him emotionally, offering him love, patience, and companionship every day. Thanks to both my personal experience and academic training, I am able to provide holistic care that addresses not only physical but also emotional needs.
