I am a compassionate and experienced Home Care Assistant with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals in their homes. I currently work with Applewood in Ireland and hold a formal qualification as a Nurse Technician from Brazil. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of caring for elderly clients and individuals with a wide range of needs, including physical disabilities, cognitive decline, and communication difficulties. I have extensive hands-on experience with patients who suffered right-side paralysis and required full support with mobility, hygiene, feeding, and emotional care. Beyond my professional background, my deepest and most personal experience came from caring for my own father. After suffering two strokes, he became fully dependent and bedridden. For 10 years, I was his primary caregiver, attending to every aspect of his care physically and emotionally. This long journey gave me not only technical skills, but also a deep understanding of empathy, patience, and dignity in elderly care. My father passed away recently, and I carry with me everything I learned through loving and caring for him. I speak both English and Portuguese, and I always strive to provide care that is respectful, reliable, and adapted to each individual’s needs.
