I am a nursing undergraduate back in the Philippines and I have cared for a woman who has colostomy and a urostomy for 8 years. I am the one responsible for attending her hygiene, making sure that her medications were taken and making sure that guidelines for colostomy and urostomy care were met. I also look after her dietary requirements as she was also a type 2 diabetic. Checking her blood sugars and giving her insulin is also part of my responsibility. I am a responsible person and flexible enough with my time.
