As an experienced nursing assistant/ careworker working here in Kenya for both hospital and home based. Am greatly interested in working in Ireland as an elderly carer. After reviewing the guidelines and qualifications for this position I learned that my skills and passions align with the goals and mission of your Country and company. I believe I could be a benefit to care home. While pursuing my nursing education and experience through school and previous positions, I learned how to create a lighter environment for patients by having a candidly positive attitude during work. I bring many different skills to the clinic that can be valuable to both patients and peers. In my previous roles as a nursing assistant, I specialized in infection control for high-risk patients, and I also helped administer medications, maintain rooms and organize aseptic procedures. I work well with others, communicating quickly and clearly during procedures. During procedures, I help ensure patient safety and comfort by: - Maintaining a sterile room, work environment and utensils at all times. - Monitoring who enters and exits the room to comply with high sanitation standards. - Preparing patients for procedures by talking with them about the processes and answering their questions. - Talking with family members as they enter the facility to explain the condition and treatment details completely.
