Hello, my name is Maeve! I'm a 26-year-old Irish woman living in Dublin. With a heart full of creativity and a passion for adventure, I bring a wealth of experience in caring for children of all ages. Most recently, I had the incredible opportunity to work as a ski nanny in the beautiful French Alps, where I cared for local kids and holidaymakers alike. During this time, I was a long-term nanny for a lovely family in France for eight months, looking after two energetic little ones, aged 18 months and 4 years. We had a blast together, diving into fun and imaginative activities, going on exciting adventures, and even creating our own stories and shows! I have also spent a summer in America as the music teacher, at a sleepover camp. This was an amazing experience as it combined my love of kids, music and fun all in the one place. Here I taught kids how to play the ukulele, piano and sing. I organised talent shows, and the end of summer play. I was also in charge of Cabin 1- meaning the youngest campers. My cabin housed six 6/7 year old girls. Me and my co-leader were in charge of these girls any time we were in the cabin. The minimum they would stay at camp was 2 weeks and the maximum was 8. This meant I quickly became very good at taking their minds off home with fun games, songs and different activities (arts & crafts) and had a homesick teddy on demand if anyone needed a cuddle. I have always been heavily involved with my local communities’ clubs and camps for kids for as long as I can remember. I volunteered at camps for local kids with disabilities every Saturday for around 2 years. I was also a leader at a summer camp in my area for local underprivileged kids who otherwise would not get a summer holiday. I was an active member of my local Drama Club, where I completed Grade 7 Acting and Grade 5 singing. Here I loved always helping with the younger kids, taking classes- ensuring they learned all the lines and dance moves before opening night. I hold a pediatric first aid certification, ensuring that I’m prepared for any situation that may arise while caring for your little ones.
