I would make a great elderly carer because I have real-life experience supporting my own family through physical and mental health challenges. After my grandfather was left partially paralysed in a hit-and-run, I moved in with my grandparents to help care for him. I also supported my grandmother in caring for my aunt, who has severe Down syndrome. These experiences gave me deep compassion, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. I’m 21, originally from South Africa, and currently in Germany. I hold a Greek passport (EU citizen), and I plan to study nursing next year. I’ve lived independently since I was 17, am very tidy, responsible, and have a genuine love for helping people. I’m also very comfortable around animals — we have 8 pets at home — and I’d be happy to walk and feed dogs as part of care duties. I find purpose in this work, and I’m excited to bring kindness, reliability, and practical support to families who need it
