Why I Want to Be an Elderly Caregiver From a young age, I was drawn to caring for others, especially the elderly. Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents, and it was during those years that I developed a deep respect for older people — their wisdom, patience, and vulnerability. I saw how much dignity and love they deserve, especially in their later years. As I grew older, I knew I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. I completed training in Home-Based Care, First Aid, and CPR to prepare myself to care for others professionally. But more than certificates, I bring compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help people feel safe, valued, and cared for. Being an elderly caregiver is not just a job for me — it’s a calling. I believe everyone deserves to age with dignity and respect. I want to be the kind of caregiver who brings comfort, joy, and companionship to someone’s life every single day
