Hello! My name is Heloisa Rafaela Brancalione, I am 25 years old and originally from Brazil, but I also hold Italian citizenship and have been living in the north of Italy for the past three years, in a small mountain valley called Val Gardena. At the moment, I work in a bar, café, and pub as a waitress and barista, a job I have been doing for the past one and a half years. Previously, I also worked in hotels, where I gained valuable experience in cleaning, organization, and hospitality. My first job in Italy was as a caregiver for two children in a family with whom I still live today, and before that, I worked as a babysitter in Brazil. Altogether, I have experience in childcare, housekeeping, hospitality, and customer service. My connection with children started early. At 16, I worked for one year in my family’s kindergarten. Later, from 17 to 19, I cared for a 6-year-old girl while finishing school. In addition, I have a 10-year-old younger sister whom I have always helped to take care of. These experiences gave me patience, responsibility, and a natural passion for working with kids. I truly love nature and feel at home in small towns surrounded by mountains, farms, or countryside. I am very active and enjoy trekking, hiking, and biking. I also love working with plants, herbs, and gardening, and I have always had a deep love for animals. Back in Brazil, I volunteered helping rescued dogs and cats, which was a very meaningful experience for me. I enjoy a simple and healthy lifestyle – I don’t smoke or drink, and I try to eat well and stay balanced. I am always open to learning new things, meeting people from different cultures, and expanding my knowledge. Besides nature, I also love art and music – I sing, play the guitar, and enjoy drawing in my free time. My biggest goal now is to improve my English. Becoming an au pair or volunteer is the perfect opportunity for me to combine what I love the most – taking care of children and supporting families – with my dream of learning the language and living in an English-speaking environment. In the future, I also plan to live in Ireland as an au pair, so this experience is an important step toward that dream. I consider myself a caring, reliable, and responsible person.
