Ever since I was young, I’ve had a natural respect and fondness for older people. Growing up, I often helped care for my grandparents, making sure they were comfortable, preparing meals, and simply keeping them company. Those experiences taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and genuine human connection. When I later began working in community support, I realized how fulfilling it is to make a difference in someone’s daily life whether it’s by assisting with personal care, offering a listening ear, or helping maintain a sense of dignity and independence. I believe this role in elderly care in the Republic of Ireland would suit me well because I bring not only practical skills and reliability, but also warmth, respect, and a sincere passion for caring for others.
