About CaroleBack to Top
Dear Host Family, My name is Elsa Jombart, I am French and I am about to turn 18. I am currently living in Madrid, where I have been based for the past ten years, after having lived in Lisbon for seven years. I come from a family of five and I am very used to living in an international and multicultural environment. I would love to join your family in Dublin for a period of six to eight months as an au pair, as this experience perfectly matches both my personal and professional goals. I am a dynamic, joyful, motivated, and determined person who truly loves working with children. I have several years of experience in childcare and education. I have been babysitting for different families for nearly two to three years, taking care of children of various ages, and I always receive excellent feedback. Families regularly ask me to come back, which reflects the trust they have in me. In addition, I have been giving private French lessons to children for over four years, helping them improve their language skills in a patient and supportive way. I also completed a one-week internship in a nursery school, where I assisted teachers with young children, and I volunteered in a hospital, which helped me develop empathy, responsibility, and a strong sense of helping others. During the summer, I also worked full-time with two different families for two weeks, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., living with them and assisting with daily routines, meals, and activities. I speak French and Spanish fluently, and I currently have a B1+ level in English. One of my main motivations for becoming an au pair is to reach a fluent level in English, with the goal of obtaining a B2 or C1 certificate. I completed my entire schooling in Pozuelo, near Madrid, in a private school called Saint-Louis des Français, where I obtained a Literary Baccalaureate. I have always achieved good academic results, with an average grade of around 7.5, and I truly enjoy learning, especially languages. I am doing this au pair exchange independently because I love new adventures, discovering new cultures, and challenging myself. My long-term dream is to become a flight attendant, and improving my English is essential for this career path. After my stay in Ireland, I plan to complete a two-month internship with Air France and continue working towards a future in the aviation and travel industry. I am also an animal lover, I have no allergies, and I adapt very easily to new environments. I would be very happy to become part of your family, to take care of your children with kindness and responsibility, and to share a meaningful cultural exchange with you. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my application. I would be delighted to speak with you and answer any questions you may have. Kind regards,
