Hi, I’m a caring, reliable and highly organised childminder with a lifetime of hands on experience raising children. As a single mum, I raised two children on my own with no family support while working full time in administrative roles, so I understand the importance of routine, patience, and creating a safe, stable environment for children to grow in. One of my children has combined ADHD, which has given me a deep understanding of supporting children with different needs, behaviours, and personalities. More recently, I’ve also stepped in to care for three children (including a child with additional needs), where I built strong, trusting relationships with both the children and their parents. I have received a written reference highlighting my patience, compassion, and ability to create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel secure and valued. I particularly enjoy caring for younger children and toddlers, and I love engaging them through play, routine, and gentle guidance. I’m very down to earth, dependable, and naturally attentive, while also being confident in setting boundaries when needed. I am very flexible and happy to support families in a way that makes their daily routine easier whether that’s helping in the mornings (getting children up, ready, fed, and out to crèche/school), afternoon collections, or a mix of both. I’m also open to caring for a child in my own home where appropriate, offering a calm, homely environment with structure and routine. I focus on providing one to one care and do not take on multiple children at once. From time to time, there may be brief, familiar interaction with other children in a natural home setting (such as family members visiting), which can be a nice way for a child to socialise, but the main focus is always on giving your child my full attention and care. Outside of childcare, I love gardening and animals, and I bring that calm, homely energy into the environment I create for children.
