I have been a cat owner since I was 10 years old, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. My mother has worked in a veterinary clinic her entire career, which means I grew up spending time there and learning about animal care from a very early age — far beyond what most pet owners would know. I have practical knowledge of first aid for cats and dogs across a range of situations including hypothermia, overheating, vomiting, diarrhoea, and cases where an animal has swallowed a foreign object. I know how to stay calm, assess the situation, and take the right steps before veterinary help is available. I also have hands-on experience walking dogs and pet sitting — friends and family have trusted me with their dogs on many occasions, which speaks to the confidence people have in my ability to care for their animals responsibly and with genuine affection.
