My name is Jakelyne Franco, and I am 30 years old. In Brazil, I worked in clinics and completed internships in hospitals, where I strictly followed hygiene protocols, infection control procedures, and health and safety standards. I also worked at a hotel, where I was initially hired to work in the restaurant. For the first 6 months I was responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant. I cleaned the tables, counters, and utensils, as well as helping to clean the kitchen. My dedication and skills led to my promotion to the front desk as a Junior Receptionist, where I have developed adaptability, good communication and attention to detail, sometimes tidying and organizing the rooms when the housekeepers were very busy. In addition to my professional background, I am an older sister with two younger brothers; from the time I was 12 until recently, I took care of the house so my mother could work. I always had the responsibility of keeping everything clean and organized so she could rest when she got home. Also, in my free time after my shift at the hotel, I worked doing extra cleaning jobs at the houses in the gated community where I lived. Although my English is currently at an intermediate level, I am highly motivated to improve my language skills through daily immersion in Ireland.
