Hi, I’m Gabi! I’m an experienced childminder based in Sixmilebridge, offering a warm, nurturing and home-from-home environment for children in my own home. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and over 4 and a half years of experience caring for children. I have completed my Childminding at Home training and have developed a particular passion for caring for babies and toddlers. My experience with babies began very early on, including working as an overnight nanny for a newborn from just two weeks old. I supported the family through those first important months, caring for the baby throughout the night, responding to his needs and supporting his nighttime feeding and settling routine. This experience deepened my interest in the early years and led me to focus particularly on providing nurturing care for babies and toddlers. I’m passionate about early childhood development and follow a Montessori-inspired approach, encouraging curiosity, independence and learning through play and everyday experiences, always respecting each child’s individual pace. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, understood and genuinely cared for ♥️ I aim to create a calm and happy daily rhythm, while being responsive to each child’s individual needs, interests and stage of development. I love providing opportunities for children to explore, play, create, learn and spend plenty of time outdoors. We have a grassy garden at home, as well as a lovely open green space right in front of the house, giving us lots of opportunities to get outside. I enjoy incorporating outdoor play, little picnics, nature and fresh air into our routine whenever the weather allows. I also really enjoy caring for siblings together and creating a welcoming environment where children can build relationships, feel secure and truly feel at home. Building a trusting relationship with parents is very important to me. I value open communication and like to take the time to get to know each family properly. Before starting childcare, I’m always happy to arrange a chat so we can talk about your children, their routines and needs, and you can get to know me and my home environment.
