Experienced, maternal and nurturing childcare professional with a natural ability to help babies and young children feel safe, settled and secure in my care. I have over 5 years' professional experience working in an award-winning crèche, where I began as a Junior Assistant and progressed quickly through the organisation. I was delighted to be awarded Senior Assistant of the Year and was subsequently promoted to Unit Head of the Baby Rooms. I was also entrusted with responsibility for Developmental Growth, supporting and monitoring children's development and helping them reach important milestones. One of the greatest compliments I received during my time in childcare was the trust parents placed in me outside the crèche. I regularly provided babysitting in the evenings for children I cared for during the day, which allowed me to build wonderful, long-term relationships with both the children and their families. I also have private childcare experience, including one year caring for 6-month-old twins, as well as one year caring for two young siblings aged 1 and 2. In addition to my professional experience, I have raised three daughters of my own, so I understand childcare from both a professional and a parent's perspective. I am naturally very maternal, gentle, caring and approachable. Children tend to warm to me very quickly, and creating an environment where they feel safe, loved and comfortable comes naturally to me. I don't see childcare as simply supervising children. I believe in getting to know each child's individual personality, needs and stage of development, while providing the affection, patience, encouragement and consistency they need to thrive. When I care for someone's child, I give myself wholeheartedly to the role.
