About ElisabettaBack to Top
Hi !! My name is Elisabetta, I am 30 years old, and I currently live and work in Milan, Italy. I am planning to move to Dublin to study at BIMM, and becoming an au pair seems like the perfect opportunity to combine my studies with a meaningful cultural and family experience. At the moment Im working in a company as a communication and social media specialist, so this would be a very important life change for me, and although I am excited about this new chapter, I have never worked as an au pair before, but during high school I took part in a few two-week student exchange programmes, staying with host families in different countries. Recently I also worked for six months in a primary school, where I spent time with children and supported them in their daily activities. I discover that I love spending time with them!! In my free time, I love working with clay, drawing, and doing arts and crafts and music! I find creative activities very relaxing, and I enjoy making things with my hands. I also studied Spanish and French both in high school and at university, but English has always been the language closest to my heart. I would be so happy to have the opportunity to speak English with your family every day, as I believe it's the best way to improve while sharing everyday life together. At the moment, I know that my classes at BIMM (Dublin 8) will always be on Fridays, but I am still waiting to receive my timetable, so I don't yet know whether they will be in the morning or in the afternoon. I should receive the schedule soon. Overall, I will have around four and a half hours of classes per week. I would like to know whether either a morning or an afternoon class on Fridays would be a problem for your family. I also have a few practical questions. Is having a driving licence essential for your family? I do have a driving licence, but I don't usually drive and I wouldn't feel confident driving regularly, especially in a new country. As I'll be studying music, I would love to bring my digital piano with me. It has a headphone function, so I can practise silently without disturbing anyone. I hope this wouldn't be an issue. Regarding my availability, I expect to be able to move to Dublin from the first week of September. I would really love the opportunity to get to know your family. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my message. I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully getting to know your family better. Kind regards, Elisabetta
