Hi! I’m Laura, and I’m looking for a job as a babysitter or after school tutor. I’m a recent graduate in Linguistic Mediation, specializing in English and Chinese. I attended a humanities-focused high school in Italy, where I studied psychology, sociology, education and the humanities. I completed an internship in a nursery school in Milan (Italy), where I was responsible for entertaining and supervising children during their daily activities. I continued gaining experience during the summer of 2015 by volunteering at a nursery school. The most significant experience I’ve had was as a Scout leader. I began this journey at the age of 6 and continued until I was 21. Until I was 18, I was a girl who volunteered every weekend, and at 19 I became a leader. I tried to pass on to the children what this experience had taught me. I was the leader of a group of children aged 6 to 12. This experience was truly formative for me because it allowed me to grow and become the person I am today. Thanks to Scouting, I learned how to deal with different kinds of difficulties. In addition, I learned how to manage groups of children. Furthermore, after school, I worked as a babysitter for many years. I used to take care of two twins aged 2 years old, a 6 years old boy and a 3 years old boy. I am available 2–3 days a week in Swords. We can arrange the days together on a week-by-week basis.
