Hello, my name is Emily Kelly. I am originally from Cork, but after studying for a BA in Early Childhood Care and Education at Mary Immaculate College and graduating in 2018, I fell in love with Limerick and have happily called it home ever since. I hold a Level 6 qualification in Special Needs Assisting and have over 16 years of experience working with children of all ages, from newborn babies to teenagers. My experience includes working in crèches, babysitting, and international childcare roles with Kelair Camps and Eurocamp in France. I progressed to a management position within the childcare sector before deciding on a career change. After completing a Master's degree in Business and Marketing, I moved into the marketing field. I am currently working in a marketing role at the University of Limerick, while continuing to do evening and weekend babysitting because of my genuine passion for working with children. Caring for and supporting children has always been something I love, and I enjoy helping them learn, grow, and develop confidence in a safe and nurturing environment. I believe children are incredibly precious. They are natural explorers, full of curiosity, imagination, and wonder, and I truly feel that as adults we have so much to learn from them. Every child is unique, and I love seeing their personalities shine as they discover the world around them. I am an outgoing, friendly, and chatty person who enjoys building positive relationships with both children and families. In my spare time, I enjoy watching hurling, staying active in the gym, and spending time with family and friends.
