Hello, host families! My name is Valeria, I am 18 years old, and I am from Spain. I would love to have the opportunity to become an au pair in Ireland, as I see it as a wonderful experience to grow both personally and professionally, improve my English, and discover a new culture while becoming part of a lovely family. I would describe myself as a patient, responsible, creative, and caring person. I really enjoy spending time with children, and I find it easy to connect with them. I love seeing the world through their eyes, helping them learn new things, and making sure they feel happy, safe, and comfortable. I have around one year of experience looking after children aged 5 to 10 from families close to me. My responsibilities have included playing with them, organising fun and creative activities, preparing simple meals, helping them tidy up after playing, and taking them to the park or school when needed. This experience has helped me become more responsible, patient, and confident when caring for children. In my free time, I enjoy doing sports, making crafts, spending time outdoors, and going to the beach. I also love animals and have an interest in fashion. I enjoy being active, discovering new places, and trying new things. I have recently finished my Spanish Bachillerato (upper secondary education). When I return to Spain, I would like to study Psychology at university, especially Child Psychology, because I am fascinated by children's development and emotions. I love helping people, and I hope to build a future where I can make a positive difference in other people's lives. I would be very happy to find a kind and welcoming host family, ideally in a place where I can enjoy spending time outdoors and discover the local area.
