I am a language teacher from France and I am in Ireland for the school year with my 15 year-old daughter. Our goal is for her to improve her English while attending school in Drogheda. Since we are only staying for the academic year, it is not practical for me to go through the lengthy process of having my French teaching qualifications officially recognized in Ireland. This is why I am looking for a job as a childminder. Although I have no formal qualifications in childcare, I have a wealth of hands-on experience from raising my own 3 children - now aged 20, 18 and 15. When they were very young, I took a step back from teaching and worked part-time so I could spend as much time with them as possible. If you entrust me with the care of your children, we will play, read, talk, sing, cook, paint, dance, explore, run, rest, sew, dress up, and clean up afterwards! I would also be happy to teach them a little French or Spanish if you want me to.
