Hi, I’m Zoë, a creative and caring childminder based in Galway. I’ve been working with children for over seven years, both in Ireland and abroad. I spent five years living in Spain, where I worked as a primary school teacher with children aged 1 to 8. This gave me valuable experience caring for and teaching children at different stages of development, as well as supporting their learning, confidence and individual needs. Since returning home, I’ve been working as a childminder in Galway, supporting families with children of different ages. I have a degree in Contemporary Art, and I love bringing creativity and imagination into my work with children, whether it’s through arts and crafts, nature walks, reading, imaginative play or playful storytelling. I also have experience as an au pair in Canada and Spain, and I’ve worked in both busy households and more relaxed home environments. I take a calm, thoughtful approach to childcare and believe in creating a space where children feel safe, heard and free to be themselves. I’m confident with routines such as bottle feeding, nap schedules, school runs, homework, playtime and meal preparation, and I always aim to tailor my care to each family’s needs and routines. I’m about to begin a full-time MSc in Art Therapy, which is a natural extension of my passion for creativity, children and emotional wellbeing. Alongside my studies, I’m now looking for evening, night and weekend babysitting or childminding work. I’m particularly happy to help with evening routines, dinner, homework, bedtime and weekend childcare. I have a full Irish driver’s licence and my own car.
