Dear Families, My name is Miriam and I am from Spain. I have a Honours Bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology and another one in Social Labour Pedagogy, both of them correspond to the Level 8 of Education in Ireland. I am garda vetted from the school where I currently work, first aid course, Child's protection training from Tusla, and I am currently doing Lamh signs course. I have experience working with children from 0 to 16 years old, in Kindergarten, schools, shelters for asylum seekers, academies after school and many different activities. I am a creative, friendly and patient person, in addition I have a great desire to work and learn. I have lived for three months in Cork where I have worked in “Scoil Mhuire” primary school as a teacher assistant with a “Leonardo Da Vinci” project. I started years ago as volunteer in “Cáritas”, an organization that helps people deal with poverty. I worked with people at risk of social exclusion and their children giving them educational support. Finally, I will mention one of my last jobs where I worked with people with mental disorders and children from Syria in Athens, Greece. All those experiences allowed me to know how to work with people form different backgrounds, to focus on important things in life, and to be able to understand their individual needs.
