Hi! My name is Amanda. I hope I am a good match for your family! Here is a little bit about me. I love children. They are the so smart, genuine and hungry for life. I have been minding children at different ages in different settings for 11 years now and I have learned something new with every single one of them. I grew up in Brazil and my family has been involved with charity work before I was even born. In a way, I grew up taking care of others. My mother works at an organisation called Irmandade Betania (Curitiba, BR) which has a free creche for impoverished children whose parents need to get training for a new career or go to work called Creche Betania. I volunteered there from age 15 till 24 with a break of 2 years when I went to Art School in Atlanta, GA (USA). I watched them grow up. The organisation also offers free assistance and accommodation to parents from other countries who are adopting children from Brazil. From that I have helped adoption processes by helping the children that get adopted and parents communicate. I also volunteered at Terra Viva Summer camp and winter during children's week (age 5-11) and teens' week (age 12-17). I have experience taking care of children from 6 months of age all the way up to 12 years old, I even have experience minding children of different ages at the same time. I hope to find a job in which I can take care of the little ones here in Ireland because it is what I know and love to do. Some of my skills that might come in handy: drawing and crafting skills, i can play a little bit of the piano and the ukulele, I can sing, i am highly creative and energetic. I have taken two courses on MBTI and learned to get along with different personalities and recognise their strong points. I am interested in learning more about children's development and that is a subject I talk a lot about because I want to prepare as much as I can for when I have my own.
