Hi! My name is Pauric, and I am an experienced science tutor for Junior and Leaving certificate. I am currently studying a Master's in Biotechnology in UCD and hope to pursue a PhD next year. I have 4 years of formal science teaching experience from my position as a Cambridge science teacher in an international school in Hanoi, Vietnam. Before that I also tutored Junior and Leaving Certificate students in all the science subjects during my undergraduate degree. My method is to explore each topic with the student, find out what parts they are having difficulty with understanding or remembering and working with the student to find a way of understanding that is suited to them. I believe that science can be fun for anyone, its just a matter of finding a person's best way of looking at it! I also have a lot of experience as an English as a second language teacher. I have tutored students to prepare them for English proficiency exams such as the IELTs and TOEFL and worked with students to improve their writing, reading, speaking and listening. I have taught post-primary science to students for who English is a second language, and am experienced in helping such students overcome this barrier. I am an enthusiastic and empathetic teacher who believes that the lesson should be completely tailored to the student to support them in their learning journey.
