Looking for a live-in position: I am looking for a live-in position for a elderly care. I have a degree in medicine, worked as a doctor in my country for 6+ years and moved to Ireland in early 2022, and since then I work as a carer. I have experience with dementia, Alzheimer's and other diseases associated with aging. I have first aid training and others. The reason I am pursuing this position is because of my current experience working in a nursing home. I would like to be able to work with someone that I know I’ll be making a difference in that person's life, and not have to struggle every day at work to get the bare minimum necessary from the company to provide quality care, anyone who has experience with nursing homes knows what I'm talking about. On the other hand, working in a live-in position will also allow me to continue my studies to revalidate my medical degree here in Ireland. Revalidation time ranges from one to two years, so I'm not looking for a short-term position. I'm patient, I like to talk, watch television together, walk, exercise with the elderly, even if it's just a light stretch, and accompany them to any social event that they want company. I have a driver's license from my country and an international permit to drive here, but I don't have an Irish license (but I'm willing to get one if necessary), and therefore, I don't have my own car in the country. If you are interested or have questions, please contact me. Ps.: I'm currently on a stamp 1 visa, I don't have an EU passport or a stamp 4 visa, to change companies or work for a particular family my visa needs to be reapplied, I'm willing to bear the cost of reapplying the visa if necessary, as long as it is deducted from my salary. Unfortunately most companies are currently only hiring live-in carers who have an EU passport or stamp 4 visa. Kind regards.
