A family loss (cancer) motivated me to attend a person with a disability. On the beautiful beaches of Genoa Italy. Don "Antonio Bertolotto", approximately 67 years old, who suffers from Alzheimer's. Memories of him diminished, but not the ability to find joy, the simple things have not disappeared. Although the days can be exhausting, but in those moments I learned to feed my soul, and also another language. I accompanied and attended to Mr. Bertolotto's basic needs for more than two years. Which is a delicate balance between the physical and the emotional. My main tasks were to dress him, help him eat, read books to him very loudly, listen to music; When we have nice weather we walk on the beach, which is very close to his house. I was also his barber. In moments of Mr. Bertolotto's frustration, he always reminded him that we have to visit his dear older sister, he also reminded him of the times when he was a sailor. It is not easy, but the family, and especially his wife Romilda, recognized the effort I put in, and above all the mutual affection, Later I returned to my country to see my three little children again. I also worked at the General Hospital of the Country Bolivia CNS. I treated COVID patients, both years, I was on the front line, in the Central Pulmonology area. This is what I can highlight in my experience, thank you very much for your attention.
