Dear family: My name is Mariel Montenegro. I’m a Mexican girl who loves travelling, meeting new people, photography, music, and cooking and I've been living in Ireland since 2017. My very first Job in this country was Au pair in Greystones while I was studying English I used to live with a lovely Irish family for 9 months, minding a lovey Irish boy who was 6 years old by that time. I used to help him to get ready to go to school and prepare his lunch in the morning to, later on, collect him from school and play with him in the afternoon after helping him with his homework. we invented a lot of funny games, such as treasure hunts, drawing and painting, playing Lego arming cities with the pieces, making crafts with boxes or threads inventing robots and machines to play that we have a factory, making piñatas, playing soccer, running races, car races with their toys, but our favorite game was policemen and thieves. Every day I picked him up from his school and once a week we go for an ice cream and to walk and play on the beach when the Irish weather allowed us of course, I liked to keep him active and encourage his imagination. Then I moved to Dublin to continue studying while I was Aupair in Dublin 06 taking care of two girls sisters, 7 years and 9 years old. My activities were also making them lunch and helping them to get ready to after taking them to school and collecting them to go with them to the different activities they had after work, such as taking them to swing classes, library, sports, shopping and also taking care of them in the house. I enjoyed a lot minding the kids and when I got a job in a marketing agency I used to do occasional babysitting if the family needed me. I´m really good at taking care kids and I can do a great job as mine, turning this opportunity into a great experience for both me and the family About me As regards my experience working with children, I’ve always been in contact with them, my mother is the director and teacher of preschool and since I was young I have been involved in the activities that she performed in school, participating in shows for children, camping and artistic activities and workshops for children. On the other hand, I've had previous experiences as an au pair before Ireland, the first experience taking care of a 9-year-old girl in Jackson California USA for a period of two months during the summer, helping her practice Spanish because her mother has Mexican origins, and doing different artistic activities with her, we used to practice Disney songs and pretend that we gave concerts, we invented dance choreographies and we acted movie scripts, We had a very active life going jogging and walking every afternoon, we liked to have pyjamas parties and prepared snacks to see Disney movies, sometimes we used to make face masks and hair masks with natural products, or we practised hairstyles and pretended to be in a fashion show. My Mexican family is very big, I have many nephews that I have cared for throughout my life and I consider myself a responsible and adaptable person with the ability and intelligence to take care of them and get along very well with them, making them have fun moments with them, thus becoming the favorite aunt In relation to my academic formation, I have a Master's Degree in Digital Marketing that I studied in Dublin Business School [removed] and a Degree of tourism at the Autonomous University of Hidalgo. Mexico. [removed]. People usually describe me as creative, kind, responsible, extrovert, empathetic, witty, funny and spontaneous. My hobbies are photography and edition, listening to music, singing, dancing, doing new activities with my friends or family and visiting every corner of the places where I am. I am an independent person but at the same time if I can get involved in family activities I do it with pleasure. Why I wanna be a minder? I used to work on an Artificial intelligence project at Accenture. I had requested immigration a change of visa type so while I'm waiting for it since the process is 5 to 6 months I decided that now that I am also between jobs and have plenty of available time I want to work as a minder again.
