In a lot of cases it is extremely important to our loved ones to remain in their own homes and retain as much independence as possible. Person Care’s services makes this possible. We have an amazing team of qualified local carers who are passionate about what they do and will make sure that your loved one feels safe and comfortable in their own familiar environment. Overnight care offers reassurance to families that their loved one is safe during the night. Night time can be a high-risk period as falls can occur when going to the bathroom or descending stairs. Our carers will assist their client preparing for bed, prompt night-time medication, assist them to and from the bathroom during the night, are on hand throughout the night, ensure they are up safely in the morning, assist in getting breakfast ready etc. As part of our morning, lunchtime & evening time care visits our carers will give any assistance required to their client including meal preparation, personal care, prompt medication, run errands etc. All of our carers are trained to aid with personal hygiene and dressing including bathing and showering, dressing, hair and skin care, oral hygiene and continence care. For clients with restricted mobility our carers can assist with hoist transfers. Our carers are all fully trained in manual handling techniques. Our carers are qualified and experienced in all of the above but more importantly they thoroughly enjoy their client’s company. As we all know sometimes all we need is simply for someone to be there. A simple chat and a listening ear often times is all that necessary to make a difference to someone’s day. Outside of our regular overnight, morning, lunch & evening visits, throughout our years of experience, from listening to our clients and their families it became very evident that there is huge need for companionship care for our clients which, of course, is a relief care for their families and we are delighted to offer these services. ‘To listen is to care’
