Hi, I'm Aisling. I have many years of experience of caring for individuals with Dementia, M.S, depression, Cancer, stroke, wheelchair user, respiratory issues, leg bag. In 2005 I completed a 1 year course for Care of The Elderly QQI Level 5 covering 8 modules. My work placement was in Highfield Hospital for residents with Dementia and Alzheimers where I spent six months. I am registered and Garda Vetted with Homecare Direct agency, and am also employed on a part-time basis with a company where I have the role of Home Help within my community for over 3 years. I am currently taking an online course delivered through Future Learn on Trinity Colleges' website. I can assist with daily living and cover a wide range of duties: medication prompt, use of hoists, showering, dressing, assist with recommended exercises under physio therapists advise, leg bag, familiar with exercise equipment for individuals with M.S, meal preparation, companionship. Arranging GP visits/collection of prescription. Monitoring BP, nebulizer, wound care/dressing. Keeping records. Excellent observational skills. I am empathetic, diligent, punctual and reliable with great listening skills. I would be delivering a person centred approach to my clients and am completely focused on providing the highest level of care, respect and kindness to each unique individual.
