Hello! My name is Paula, I am 24 years old and I am from Madrid, Spain. I am currently studying a university degree in primary education, since I love working with children. In addition, I volunteer with hospitalised children. VERY IMPORTANT: I will be available from September, NOT for summer 2023. I consider myself a very calm, patient, educated and clean person. I also have a lot of initiative and desire to learn about everything. What I highlight about my personality is my empathy and my good humour. I love to make my people laugh and I am always there to listen to their problems and support them. I have two brothers, who are 18 and 8 years old. My parents have been divorced since I was little, but we all have a very good relationship and we keep in touch daily. My mother works in a bank and my father is a producer of an important television company in the country. I currently live in the centre of Madrid, with my girlfriend and our cat. In June 2023 I will finish the university degree in primary education. I have a lot of experience caring for children both professionally and familiarly. I have done the internships of my career in a school, being a teacher. What I like to do the most in the world is to get to know new places. I love to walk and discover every corner of each city or town, try its gastronomy, listen or read its history... I'm also a great music lover, I can't go on the bus or subway without my headphones. As for sports, I don't currently practice any, apart from going to the gym to try to lead a healthy life. I'm not an expert playing the guitar, but I've been learning for years and it's a hobby that I love. As I said before, I have a lot of experience caring for children, both within my family and hired by people outside me. I like to comment again on my experience as a volunteer accompanying children who are admitted to hospitals and, for some reasons or for others, they do not have their parents or other people to be with them at that time. I also highlight my experience as an internship teacher, since thanks to it I learned a lot. My mother tongue is Spanish, since absolutely my entire family is Spanish. The only language apart in which I defend myself is English, but I certainly want to improve it a lot and that is one of the reasons why I would like to be an aupair. I have never lived outside Spain, although I have travelled to some countries, always as a tourist. Since my two passions are working with children and travelling the world learning cultures and languages, what better way to put both together than being an aupair! My expectations as an aupair are to learn the language, help the family as much as possible, meet new people, discover the world and, why not, earn some money. I would love to be part of a host family that is friendly, open, with a great sense of humour and that loves to know new things as much as I do. Of course, although one of my goals is to improve my English, do not hesitate to count on me if you want your children to have contact with the Spanish language! I like to maintain a healthy and balanced diet, but I never say no to any meal! Fortunately I don't have allergies, although I prefer to reduce my consumption of lactose products.
