I am a 45 year old single female educated to Degree level with an 18 year old daughter who studys in the UK. I am also the Chairperson of a UK based Children's Pre-School which requires part-time work on a voluntary basis, and it is also at this Pre-School where I gained my childcare industry experience. I have an Enhanced UK DBS criminal check which was completed earlier this year, although I do not have an Irish Garda vetting, but am more than happy to complete one. I absolutely adore children and find they always take to me particularly well. Having myself employed a Nanny when my own daughter was young, I am mindful of the fact that a child must first and foremost feel comfortable with their carer. One of my nieces has a rare condition called Chromosome 22 Duplication and is also autistic, and I am therefore familiar with children who present challenging behaviour. I am a gentle, kind and playful person with 3 dogs, 3 hens and a horse - so animals are no problem either! I enjoy arts and crafts immensely and am always to be found working on some small project. I also enjoy reading, history and traveling around Ireland discovering all its wonders. I travel regularly between the UK and Ireland to see my daughter and it is for this reason my mobile is a UK number as it works out cheaper for me to have a UK contract with an international add on. I am happy to be adaptable on days and times, and also to babysitting during evenings if required, or assist in any emergencies, with shopping or housekeeping.
