Hi everyone , My name is Charlene and i am 21 years old , I am an energetic, compassionate, and responsible individual, I am eager to apply my skills and experiences to a carer's role. I am currently pursuing a degree in Event Management & Public relations in ATU Galway , I have completed a level 5 Special needs assistance course in GTI which has not only equipped me with a solid foundation in health care but also instilled in me a deep understanding of the importance of providing quality care to those in need. Despite my young age, I have gained significant experience in the care sector through various volunteer roles and internships. I have worked with diverse groups of people, including children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities. I volunteered in a school in south Africa for two months and I also done home help when i was in South Africa every day, i would call to the elderly and do jobs for them and helped people with their needs. I also done work experience in a secondary special needs unit in Ballinasloe looking after boys with special needs. These experiences have honed my skills in providing personal care, and assisting with daily activities, all while maintaining the utmost respect for the individuals I care for. I am known for my strong interpersonal skills and my ability to build rapport with people from all walks of life. I am an excellent listener and communicator, which helps me to understand the needs and preferences of those in my care. My empathy and patience further ensure that I provide a safe and comfortable environment for those I am caring for.
